ICASDV Trainings :: Technology & Safety
Technology has proved to be a valuable resource to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. Victims are able to have greater access to resources through the use of technology. This same technology is also being misused by offenders to control victims. It is essential victims and their advocates are made aware of these issues and plan for safety.
Goals & Objectives:
- Identify the risks and benefits to various technologies including: phone technologies, cameras, and Internet technologies
- Discuss technology safety planning with domestic violence survivors
- Identify technologies designed to assist survivors with disabilities and the risks and benefits of these technologies
