ICASDV Trainings :: Suicide and Domestic Violence

This training will include the connection between the probability of suicide and domestic violence and sexual assault victims.  This training will also identify the key warning signs, risk factors and methods of intervention, identify resources and support groups, and how to work to get victims the help they need.

Goals & Objectives:

  • Evaluate the relationship between suicide and domestic violence
  • Define the risk factors of suicide
  • Utilize a suicide risk assessment when working with clients
  • Identify and apply the protective factors to reduce the incidence of suicide
  • Identify the dynamics of domestic violence relationships that contribute to someone feeling suicidal
  • Identify resources for suicidal individuals
