Stalking is a series of actions that someone engages in to make you feel afraid or in danger. A stalker can be someone you know well or not at all. Most have dated or been involved with the people they stalk.

Stalking behaviors include:

  • Following/monitoring activities
  • Sending unwanted mail, email, gifts
  • Annoying or threatening telephone calls
  • Going through garbage
  • Vehicle tampering
  • Driving by/parking near work or residence
  • Appearing at home or workplace uninvited
  • “Coincidentally” showing up wherever victim goes
  • Taking photos or videos of victim
